Daily Question: Did you choose a specific path or did it choose you? How did you know?

A little bit of both, I think. Grew up in a Roman Catholic fold, but had other deities and paths call out to me as I grew up. Isis and Odin came to me and lay claim over me, so in that respect I was 'chosen' to walk this path. However, I could've just said 'no thanks' at the time and been none the wiser.. I just felt this was the right thing at the right moment with the right feeling.

i have been walking the path of our mother earth for many years though I am just now putting a label on it. I think it chose me as it just was. As i have moved through my life, I have always drawn my energies from the trees, have always been very "green" and tried to be low impact. While trying to raise my children Christian as i was raised, sort of, I also incorporated caring for our mother earth and she caring for us into our religious weave. There was no names of Gods or Goddesses there, there was no formal ritual, etc. But it was there. For a few years I looked into and tried to walk the path of the Native Americans but have for 20 or more years always been drawn to the Druid ideology... I realize that there are many similarities here, but there are also some drastic differences. I am now working my way through a year and a day training... A very eclectic version I might add. I am not sure if I will finish it in a year and a day as I have many things on my plate... always... but that is my goal. Where I will go beyond that is currently unseen.

Love the Druid path, although it is not quite what I was personally looking for! Spent the longest time reading druidic stuff and talking about it with someone who followed the OBOD course, but came to the conclusion I'm much better suited to an eclectic life. (That, and Isis and Odin didn't quite appreciate a fullblown focus on the Celtic ways. It's the closest thing I've ever had to a reprimand.)
