The toasted pine nuts give this Asian inspired Ginger Tea recipe a silken smooth touch. And it tastes soooo yummy! Ingredients: 1 quart water 1/3 lb fresh Ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced, smashed 1 cup dark brown sugar A pinch of salt 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts Combine water, Ginger root, brown sugar, and salt in medium-sized saucepan. Simmer partially covered over medium-low heat for 30 minutes. Simmer longer if stronger Tea is desired. Strain and serve in small tea cups. Add 2 teaspoons of pine nuts to each cup of tea. Tip: To make Almond Ginger Tea, add 1 tablespoon of Almond liqueur to 1 cup of tea.
